NEW YORK – Benenson Strategy Group congratulates Newark Mayor-elect Ras Baraka and is proud to have served as strategist and pollster to the Working Families Coalition, independent expenditure campaign working in support of Mayor-elect Baraka’s campaign.
Benenson Strategy Group also congratulates its long-time partners with whom it worked in the Working Families Coalition: Brad Lawrence, of Message & Media, and Joshua Henne, of White Horse Strategies, who jointly developed media and managed earned media.
While polls by other campaigns and interest groups predicted that Baraka would lose, Benenson Strategy Group’s final survey accurately predicted Baraka’s victory and identified his final vote share within the poll’s margin of error.
Danny Franklin, a partner at Benenson Strategy Group, who advised the Working Families Coalition, said, “Newark is a very difficult place to conduct surveys, especially in low-turnout municipal election, but we were very confident in our methodology. We’re proud that we were able to provide our terrific partners on the Working Families Coalition campaign with sound strategy and accurate data.”
Benenson Strategy is especially proud of its service to New Jersey elected officials, including Senator Robert Menendez, Senator Cory Booker, and the late Senator Frank Lautenberg, among others.
