Benenson Strategy Group – a premier strategic consulting and public opinion research firm that delivers game-changing strategies to presidential candidates, heads of state, elected leaders, Fortune 500 companies and major nonprofits – announced today its plans to expand to Los Angeles, California by the end of this year.
“Over the past 11 years, Benenson Strategy Group has grown in a careful and deliberate manner,” said Joel Benenson, President of BSG. Benenson was the lead pollster for President Barack Obama during the 2008 election and continues in that role today. “We see this expansion as a way to help us better serve dynamic industries – including entertainment, clean energy, technology and tourism – and support some of the nation’s most exciting political and advocacy campaigns.”
The new office will be led by Vice President Amy Levin, who is working to build up a team in Los Angeles. Levin has extensive experience on a range of advocacy, political and corporate issues. She currently leads the polling for Sen. Robert Menendez, Rep. Frank Pallone, AARP, Project New West, League of Conservation Voters and Environmental Defense Fund. Levin has helped major brands – including Cosmopolitan magazine, JP Morgan Chase, Procter & Gamble and VH1 – use political research methods to hone their strategy, craft communications and understand their targets. She also works internationally on political and social issues across Europe.
During the 2008 election cycle, Levin served as David Axelrod’s chief of staff at AKPD Message and Media before joining media firm GMMB. There, she wrote and produced ads for numerous winning campaigns including President Barack Obama’s. She was also the creative director for GMMB’s work on behalf of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
