When we asked voters about their opinions of various political figures, we found that the highest ratings belonged to Prime Minister Victor Ponta and Acting President Crin Antonescu. Both were viewed far more favorably than President Traian Basescu.

Six in Ten Approve of Ponta’s Job, Three in Ten Approve of Basescu’s Job Performance
When we asked voters how they felt about the way President Basescu and Prime Minister Ponta were handling their respective jobs, we obtained similar results: 58% of voters said that Ponta was doing a good or very good job, while just 30% said the same of Basescu.

Majority of Likely Voters Are Voting Yes On Sunday’s Referendum
By a two-to-one margin, likely voters would vote yes on Sunday's referendum on impeaching President Traian Basescu if it were held today. Our poll found that 60% would vote yes, 30% would vote no and 9% said they were undecided or refused to say how they would vote. The yes vote held a strong lead among both men and women and in every region of the country.

BSG/SCI conducted 1,104 total interviews nationwide with likely 2012 parliamentary voters. The interviews were conducted July 16-20, 2012. The margin of error for overall results is ±2.95% and higher among subgroups.
