Benenson Strategy Group conducted a survey of the general population in 19 cities where Uber operates to gauge concerns about drunk driving and the impact of companies like Uber on drunk driving. The interviews took place online from December 1st through 4th, 2014 and included 807 interviews with a representative general population sample from the 19 cities where Uber has been operating for the longest period of time.
BSG found that residents in America’s cities have intense concerns about drunk driving and want elected officials to prioritize solutions to this critical problem. They also firmly believe that companies like Uber are important tools in the fight against drunk driving. Many know from personal experience that Uber and similar services provide options when people need them most.
