Vice President 

Amy Levin is a Vice President and heads up Benenson Strategy Group’s Los Angeles office.

Most recently, Levin led the polling for San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee’s winning 2011 campaign as well as the firm’s successful efforts to defeat Mississippi’s Personhood ballot initiative. Levin currently manages polling for Sen. Robert Menendez and Rep. Frank Pallone and has extensive experience on a range of advocacy issues, for clients including AARP, Project New West, SEIU-UHW and Environmental Defense Fund. She has worked internationally as well, on political and social issues in the United Kingdom and Ukraine.

Levin has also helped corporations – including Cosmopolitan magazine, Chase, Procter & Gamble
and VH-1 – use political research strategies to better understand their target audiences,
hone their communications and bolster their brands.

Levin brings experience in political media and advertising to the firm, having spent the 2008 election cycle working as David Axelrod’s chief of staff at AKPD Message and Media before moving to GMMB. There, she wrote and produced ads for winning campaigns including President Barack Obama, Sen. Max Baucus, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and Rep. Donna Edwards. She also served as the creative director for GMMB’s work on behalf of the DCCC.

Before entering the political realm, Levin worked on the Global Strategy team at Goldman Sachs in London. She has a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and also received a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Harvard.
