Vice President Amy Levin returned to the Benenson Strategy Group in 2009 as a Vice President in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office; she previously worked at BSG from 2002 to 2005. During that time she managed projects for the New Jersey State Democratic party, Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York, SEIU, Procter & Gamble and VH1.
Levin brings experience in political media and advertising to the firm, having spent the last election cycle working as David Axelrod’s chief of staff at AKPD Message and Media before moving to GMMB. At that firm she wrote and produced ads for some of the hardest-fought wins of the cycle, including President Barack Obama, Sen. Max Baucus of Montana, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona and Rep. Donna Edwards of Maryland. She also served as the creative director for GMMB’s work on behalf of the DCCC.
Before entering the political realm, Levin worked on the Global Strategy team at Goldman Sachs in London. She has a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and also received a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Harvard.
