After building a reputation as one of the Democratic Party's top campaign staffers and political operatives over the past 20 years, Mike Gehrke joined BSG in the fall of 2010.
His prior work includes serving as the White House Director of Research for President Bill Clinton, the Research Director for the Presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry, and leading the opposition communications and research operation at the Democratic National Committee during the 2007-2008 presidential primary and general election. Mike has served as a consultant, advisor or on-the-ground staff for political and issue campaigns in 15 states throughout the South and West. He has also worked for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, was the Executive Director of the Senate Majority Project - an independent 527 political committee in the 2006 election cycle - is a veteran of the AFL-CIO Political Department and the Change to Win Federation. As a pollster, Mike had directed projects for clients including the AFL-CIO, Project New West, and Gov. Tim Kaine.
Mike interned for the U.S. Supreme Court and earned a J.D. degree from the University of Utah.
