Mitch Markel, Senior Vice President, is a classically-trained opinion researcher and an expert in marketing strategy, brand communication, and targeting.  He has worked to develop marketing and communications plans for leading Fortune 1000 companies covering wide-range of industries including: oil, telecommunication, food & beverage, sports & entertainment, consumer package goods, financial services and insurance.

With hands-on research experience in more than 80 countries around the world, Mr. Markel brings an in-depth understanding of global markets and consumers in every stage of market development to his work.  An expert in developing innovative research methodologies, Markel provides clients new levels of insight into their categories and their audiences.

Markel’s cliental have included major corporations such as Toyota, Campbell Soup Company, ESPN, Hertz Rental Car, Panera Bread, Shell Oil, Coca-Cola and Sonic to the sports and entertainment world, including but not limited to the NHL, LeBron James, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Dixie Chicks.  Markel also has extensive experience working within the B2B industry for clients such as Sodexo, Pitney Bowes, KPMG, ABB, ADM, and Eastman Chemical. 

A two-time winner of the David Ogilvy Research Award, Markel won the “services” category in 2002 for his work on the BP Connect campaign and then again in 2006 for his work with Qwest Communications. 

Mr. Markel is a member of both the Marketing Research Association (MRA) and the American Marketing Association (AMA).  He holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he also received an associate degree in Sociology.  Markel received his initial training at the Social and Demographic Research Institute in Amherst, MA.
